Endell Veterinary Group Smallholders
Smallholders Services
We offer a comprehensive range of services designed specifically with smaller flocks and herds in mind. Whether you have a single pet sheep or a larger menagerie, we’d be delighted to assist with your everyday management and preventative healthcare.
Vaccines - supplied and administered by one of our highly trained and friendly technicians. On a seasonal basis, we will organise vaccination rounds to split large bottles of vaccine so that you don’t have to buy more doses than you need.
Parasite control - from fly products to wormers to fluke treatment. We supply and administer all types of pour-on and drench, together with advice for their responsible use and long-term strategy.
Shearing - our skilled technicians are also qualified shearers, and will happily shear, crutch or dag up to 30 sheep or up to 15 alpacas.
Scanning - for pregnancy diagnosis in cattle, sheep, goats and camelids. No herd or flock too small!
Agricultural supply - tick off your farm shopping list with a wide range of equipment, ear tags, mineral buckets and more available for collection and delivery. Unsure what you need? Our R-SQP Animal Health Advisors, in association with our clinical vet team, would be more than happy to discuss your requirements.
Helping Hands - if you need an extra person to support any kind of animal handling or management task, e.g. TB testing, our experienced technicians can also be booked on an hourly basis.
Smallholders Club
The club was started in the summer of 2013 and has grown in numbers ever since.
Our events are always well attended and include practical handling sessions, evening discussions, informative farm walks, a social summer BBQ and very popular Christmas Quiz! Where possible, we try to offer two venues for each meeting, one based in Salisbury and the other based near Alton. We cater for many farm animal species including sheep, cattle, camelids, goats, pigs and poultry; no holding is too small or big!
Your membership fee of £30 per annum includes free attendance to all of our events, newsletters and exclusive access to our Smallholders Facebook group. This is a place for asking those burning questions to a group of like-minded people, as well as exchanging contact details, husbandry tips and other useful information; it is monitored regularly by our vets.
If you are interested in joining, or would like some further information regarding the club, please contact the practice by telephone or email. Alternatively, you can contact the Smallholders Club coordinators directly.
