Hayley graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012 and has worked in farm animal practice ever since. Immediately after graduation, Hayley completed a clinical internship in farm animal health and production based in private practice and linked with the Royal Veterinary College. During her internship she worked closely with dairies in West Sussex and developed an interest in infectious diseases in cattle and sheep. Following on from her year internship, Hayley ventured to the south west working for a large independent farm animal practice where she further developed her surgical skills.
Hayley moved back to the south east to be closer to her fiancé Tom in 2014 and worked for a small farm animal practice in Surrey, serving clients across the south east. With a hankering to be part of a larger progressive farm animal team Hayley, and colleague, Lissie joined forces with Endells in 2017 as part of the newly established ‘Endells East’ branch but serving all the same clients.
More recently, Hayley has developed keen interest in the health and welfare of small ruminants and the lambing season is undoubtedly her favourite time of the year! She also enjoys the teaching aspect of her job, whether that be teaching final year veterinary students in the classroom or being part of knowledge transfer teaching to farmers and smallholders in the area.
Outside of work Hayley enjoys keeping and showing a small number of her own sheep. She also enjoys working her Labrador, Winston and making arts and crafts in her spare time.
